Drones SIT
We are developing the aerospace industry
We put a lot of energy, passion and time into developing and sharing our expertise in unmanned aviation. We create our own applications and hardware solutions, allowing us to deliver products tailored to our customers’ needs and requirements. We were the first to use drones to inspect bridge structures and developed the Inspector app to do so. In addition, we also use the drones to inspect technical infrastructure, internal inspections of tanks and process units.
Drones have also brought new opportunities in the field of urban forestry – an app that can detect bark beetles before their first swarm is a result of a two-year project.
We are an official part of the IRS
Thanks to a long history of successful cooperation with firefighters and police officers, in 2019, Drones SIT as the first in the Czech Republic became an official part of the Integrated Rescue System (IRS). For example, we provide assistance at major fires, mass casualty incidents, searches for missing persons, building collapses or events that pose a security risk.
We have provided the intervention commander with streaming video from both drone and ground cameras. We have developed special docking stations for recording cameras or drone dropping sensors to detect hazardous substances. For the traffic police, we have developed an app for investigating serious traffic accidents, and for firefighters, we use 3D printing to produce unique parts for their equipment. We have developed an application for them to monitor and measure the area of a fire over time. We are testing transport drones to deliver medical supplies, defibrillators, and other equipment to firefighters in hard-to-reach terrain.
We promote drones and educate
In 2016, we launched the Dronfest festival, which promotes unmanned aviation and has become one of the top events in unmanned flying. In 2022, it merged with the unique Inovujeme Plzeň festival, of which it is now a full part. The festival attracts several thousand visitors from the Czech Republic and abroad every year and is a showcase of drones, robots, and other technologies. It offers guided demonstrations and interesting lectures. The event is enjoyed by experts, competitive enthusiasts, families with children, and the general public.
The Pilsen drone pilots are also part of the Pilsen Innovation Ecosystem PINE. They educate high school students in Pilsen in the field of unmanned aviation, bringing practical demonstrations to the classroom, where students work with professional machines. In the field of leisure education, they act as lecturers and mentors—for example, in the construction of racing drones or underwater submarines.
