Centre of Robotics

Polytechnic and science education

The activities at the Centre of Robotics engage children as young as preschool age and inspire them to pursue polytechnic and science fields. We offer some of the best technical clubs in Pilsen. In addition, we open our doors to the general public several times a year, organizing themed events, workshops, and courses. We target children aged 6 to 15, which is why the Centre of Robotics is at the forefront of the Pilsen Innovation Ecosystem (PINE).

Our goal is to support the development of technical education and meaningfully integrate the use of modern technologies into the lives of the youngest. To teach them to think critically, explore, ask why, and be creative and inventive. We also equip primary and nursery schools established by the city of Pilsen with technology and educate teachers. We teach computer literacy to seniors.

Inspiration and training for teachers

We place great emphasis on training teachers and other educational staff. We focus on methodological support, assisted or tandem teaching, and other professional development. We teach teachers how to meaningfully integrate digital technologies into their teaching—for example, iPads, research kits, robotic aids, 3D printers, online tools, and virtual reality glasses. We prepare comprehensive teaching materials, teaching inspiration, and educational programs in VR.

At the Centre of Robotics we offer educators dozens of practical seminars and workshops, professional conferences, and educational courses. The highlight is an intensive summer workshop lasting several days. Our goal is to continuously improve the quality of education, facilitate access to information, and prepare children for the 21st century, in which digital skills play a key role.
